iFamily History: Post-It Notes

How many sticky notes do you have around your monitor or desk?

Instead, take a picture of the sticky note on your camera and post it as a note in EverNote.

For best results use the post-it^® note colors designed especially for EverNote:

Electric yellow

limeade

electric blue

neon pink

The following pictures were taken by my phone and saved into Evernote. EverNote automatically crops the picture to the sticky note size. Also, note that the text on the sticky notes is searchable - even those written ones.

This light yellow one is not the standard color but it still works.

Genealogy

I researched my paternal grandmother's line to the first three white landowners of Canada in the 80's. I began genealogy going on genealogy trips in Ontario, England, and Scotland at graveyards with my mother starting at age 7 on. As a teenager, I sat in front of a microfilm reader with a list of names every Saturday at an FHL while my mother volunteered helping others.

I have spoken at Genealogical conferences and sessions at RootsTech (UT), FamilyRoots (UT), The Genealogy Show (in Birmingham, UK) as well as in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ogden, and Ontario.
