How to Create a Google account

You need a Google account to do any of the following

• To have a Gmail (Google email) 
• To upload files as a backup to Google Drive
• To create Google files on Google Drive 
• To save your own maps in Google Maps
• and more

To create a Google account.

Search within one site only

SITE
SITE allows you to search in the listed website only, for something specific. All hits will only be from this website.

Search one webpage
If you want to search the webpage that is on the screen, use CTRL/F. This is nice and easy for one page, but only the current page, not a whole website.

Layout
site:www.website.com words to search 

Note: No space before or after the colon (:).

There can be multiple words to searchMust be a website, a URL not an HTML file. Not a specific page so the URL can't end in .htm or .html.

Example
I have a great website with lots of Bancroft family births, marriages, and deaths. I would love to have a list of all of the Bancrofts from any page on this website. This is how I can.

site:www.rays-place.com/town/ma bancroft

This will list each time Google finds a Bancroft on any page on this URL. There are multiple pages under this URL.

There are 72 hits on this website 

Each hit has the same website beginning:  www.rays-place.com/town/ma ....

Google Maps & Graveyard sites

There is a graveyard that my husband and I drove by often while driving to family in Southern Alberta. One day we went to the graveyard, visited it and took pictures. We love history and checking things out. It is the Frankburg Mormon Pioneer Cemetery and it is in the middle of farmlands miles from a town or city. We had to know why? What was the history?

The other day driving near there again, my husband checked on Google maps. The graveyard/cemetery was not on the map.

He emailed Google and asked them to add it to the map.
Google emailed back the next day and said they would check into it to verify it. Two days later Google emailed to say they have added it to their maps!! See the email below
